Q: I am installing a new stovetop
and prefer a downdraft venting system. What is a good CFM rating
for a kitchen vent system? I hate kitchen grease and odors all
over my house, so I want a really effective vent system.A: You should probably talk to some retailers to see how much power you will want. I know the more powerful the blower, the noisier it is.
Online, I found two brands of downdraft ventilators: the Broan Eclipse that comes with a 500 cfm internal blower or a 900 cfm blower, and several models by Kitchenaid which have 600 cfm internal blower or 900 cfm blowers. Those websites were: www.kitchenaid.com and www.Range-Hoods.com.
