Problem

Your handyman or repair person doesn't seem prepared with the proper tools or equipment, thus he/she ends up charging you more for extra time due to his/her frequent trips to the hardware store.

How to Solve

Keep a log of how much time your handyman has actually spent working. Tell him/her that you will pay for travel time to and from the job but not for all the unnecessary trips to the store. Discuss this issue as soon as the problem is detected.
