Q: My puppy chewed a small hole at the edge of my carpet. This is where carpet and ceramic tile meet. I am wondering if it would be possible to repair this spot? Maybe I could do this myself. Any ideas?

A: I recommend calling a professional with all the special tools and experience to do the job right. This could be a flooring company or a carpet cleaning company that also offers carpet repairs.

Depending on the damage, they may be able to stretch the carpet to cover that area or patch it. If you don't have a scrap left over from when your carpet was first installed, they may be able to cut a piece from the back of a closet and use that.
