Q: I have a one-inch white tile in my bathroom surrounded by white grout. The tile always looks dirty because the grout is impossible to clean. Is there any solution, such as painting over the tile? Replacing the grout to a darker color? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
A: Yes, you can replace the grout with a darker color, or perhaps even change the color of the existing grout. You should talk to a company that specializes in grout to determine the best thing to do.
It is also possible to have tile resurfaced, which coats both the tile and the grout in a single color, and you would never have to deal with grout again. However, I do not know how well it would hold up on a floor, so you would need to talk to some porcelain and enamel refinishing services for their advice.
