Concrete Slab Bids

Tips by Real-Estate-Agents.com

Q: I would like to get pricing information on pouring a concrete slab for a basketball court in my yard. The dimensions would be 48 feet x 32 feet. How much concrete would I need? What would be a ballpark figure for a contractor to pour such a floor?

A: The best way to find out how much it will cost to do a project is to collect three or four bids from qualified licensed contractors. Concrete contractors may be willing to give you a very general ballpark figure over the phone, based on the amount of concrete you need and the distance it needs to be hauled or pumped from the street. However, they may want to come look at the site to see how much preparation the area will need before they are willing to give you a firm bid.
