There are many cabinet selections from which to choose. Among the best is solid hardwood. Also, many cabinets are made from particleboard that has a wood veneer finish glued to it. The particleboard and the glue may contain pollutants, that when emitted can be an irritant to many people. If using cabinets with particleboard, they should be sealed with a water-based sealant. Another option is metal cabinetry because of its inert qualities.
